Background

Year 1980, a year of changes in People's Republic of China (PRC), established the opening policies of the government making many commodities of its domestic market available to the outside world. "Wah Shing Enterprises", at that time situated in Taiwan, has been established for umbrella trading to the PRC market.

Orders backlogged and high labor cost at the umbrella factories located in Taiwan drove "Wah Shing" to commence its umbrella production in the year 1983. As operation experience was gained from umbrella production at the factory, along with fully established distribution channels to the PRC market, the company had then decided to market its products on an Overseas Export Program. First United Kingdom, then Panama, United States and lastly, Singapore.

Kwong Hing was established in the same year to tailor the need of a larger accommodation for the umbrella orders received, while "Wah Shing Enterprises" had been assigned for corporate expansion on other sectors of investments.

Since Kwong Hing's establishment, we have gained unprecedented insight into the umbrella industry.
